Our first two years at Toronto South African Film Festival were a great success!
Thank you to all our sponsors, donors and festival attendees. We greatly appreciate your support over the past two years.
One of our goals at TSAFF is to raise as much money as possible for Education without Borders. We all care deeply about providing quality education to children in impoverished areas of South Africa. You have helped us to achieve this goal.
Our other goal is celebrate the history, culture and politics of South Africa through film. Over the past two years, we have partnered with some of South African’s hottest talent and top-tier filmmakers. We have also had the privilege of show casing some up-and-coming talent.
Below you will see some photos highlighting some great memories of TSAFF 2014 and 2015.
For our third annual festival, 2016 promises to be an amazing event. We will open our festival with a gala on Thursday November 17th at 7pm. This is our biggest fundraiser of the year. We will offer you a thought-provoking film followed by a party that our attendees talk about for years to come. People still comment on the hilarious gala evening we had with comedian Nic Rabinowitz in 2014. In 2015, participants were provoked and inspired by Director Jyoti Mistry who flew from South Africa for her Q and A after the screening of her film Impunity.
On Saturday November 19th, we will offer you a day filled with films that represent a broad spectrum of South African life. Our line-up will include both feature films and documentaries that celebrate the rich and diverse perspective that South African has offer.
We look forward to seeing you there!
